Welcome Aboard The Rocinante Method
Faith, Grit and IT Projects. "In your patience you shall posses your souls" -- Luke 21:19 (Douay-Rheims).
Failure is an integral component of IT projects.
Not because people lack intelligence. Not because there is not enough money. Not due to any shortage of tools.
Failure of our services occurs because we've lost focus. We have exchanged mission for noise. We are mired in process while losing sight of principle; and are scattered among dashboards without any clear compass.
My name is Mark and I have captained many ships--some sailing smoothly while others required daily patch-up with duct tape and glue. I've worked with corporate titans as well as small organizations barely staying afloat; seen what happens when leadership disappears, communication breaks down, or when ego replaces ethics.
And I know what works.
Why I Started This Log
The Rocinante Method is a call back to something deeper.
I'm not here to present another framework; rather, I wish to remind us all what it means to lead; endure, deliver and do it all without losing our soul in the process.
What You'll Find Here
Don't mistake what you find here for productivity porn, nor shiny object syndrome or simply following trends; rather it is designed for professionals in IT, project management or leadership roles who strive to get their jobs done with clarity, conviction and integrity.
